Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
